On November 11, 2014, Long County Middle School and Walker Elementary School hosted a Veteran’s Day Celebration for veteran family members and their students.
The focus was on appreciating our veterans and the importance of Veteran’s Day. With a crowd of over 150 adults, the celebration included a presentation of important facts about Veteran’s Day, patriotic music performed by the Long County Middle School Band, pledge to the American Flag led by our Student Council students, and a delicious breakfast prepared by the Long County School System cafeteria staff. It was a privilege and honor to recognize our veterans on this special day.
Georgia Parent Survey
The Georgia Parent Survey is modeled after the student survey and contains 24 questions. A Spanish version of the parent survey will be available soon. Data from the survey, along with other sources, will be used in the calculation of a School Climate Star Rating which is a diagnostic tool within the CCRPI. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.
